UFC 160 Free Picks
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – UFC 160 takes place on Saturday night, featuring a championship bout and some top-contender bouts in many weight classes. Here is a look at some picks for this card.
UFC 160 will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET. All odds are according to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv.
I don’t expect this fight to go much differently than it did a year ago, when Velasquez picked apart Silva and TKO’d him in under five minutes. This time around, I do think the fight will go a little longer, but Velasquez will push a pace that Silva can’t keep up with. The champion will score takedowns and use his ground-and-pound to finish Silva in the third round UFC 160 FREE PICK – Cain Velasquez -750
Hunt is a tough guy and has a great chin, but dos Santos is the better fighter. The former champion will win the stand-up battle with Hunt and should have the better conditioning for this fight. We could actually see dos Santos use his grappling in this fight to tire out Hunt. Ultimately, I see dos Santos doing enough to earn a decision victory. UFC 160 FREE PICK – Junior dos Santos -450
This card doesn’t feature a lot of great upset candidates, but of the five fights, I think Noons has the best chance for a victory. Noons is a very technically-skilled striker, who can land a KO punch at any time. Cerrone is a very tough opponent, and a great kick boxer, but he has had problems in the past with opponents that can beat him to the punch, which I think Noons can. I don’t see this fight going to the ground much, so it will be up to Noons to stick and move and get the victory. UFC 160 FREE PICK – K.J. Noons +250
