UFC 130 takes place this Saturday night and the main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 9PM ET while five preliminary bouts. Some of the prelims will air on Facebook leading up to the start of the PPV event.
This bout between Jackson and Hamill was originally scheduled to be the co-main event but a proposed lightweight title fight fell through, forcing this contest to be pushed to the main event. According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog.com Jackson (31-8) is the favorite to win the contest with odds of -275 while Hamill (10-2) comes in with a money line of +215. This is a classic striker vs. grappler matchup. If the fight stays standing, it heavily favors Jackson. If the fight goes to the ground, Hamill has the edge.
The co-main event for Saturday’s card features a clash of two top heavyweights as Frank Mir (14-5) taking on Roy Nelson (15-5). Mir is a slight favorite to win the contest with odds of -140, while Nelson comes in with a money line of +110. Both men have solid skills on their feet and on the ground. I feel that Nelson has better punching power while Mir is better conditioned and has better grappling skills.
