UFC 129 Weigh-In Results
TORONTO, Ontario (TheSpread) – The weigh-ins for UFC 129 have concluded and all but one of the fighters made weight for Saturday’s event.
UFC 129 takes place from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and will air live on Pay-Per-View at 9PM ET with the main event featuring a Welterweight Title Fight between champion Georges St. Pierre and challenger Jake Shields. Both fighters weighed in under the 170-pound weight limit, making Saturday’s championship set. St. Pierre came in at 169.5 pounds while Shields weighed 169.
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog.com, St. Pierre is the favorite to win the bout with a money line of -500, while Shields comes in with odds of +300.
In the co-main event, UFC Featherweight Champion, Jose Aldo, squares off with Mark Hominick. Aldo comes into the fight as a favorite with odds of -500 while Hominick has a money line of +300. Both fighters weighed in at the 145-pound limit to make the title fight official.
The lone fighter on the card to fail to make weight was lightweight Ben Henderson, who came in at 156.5 pounds for his lightweight bout with Mark Bocek. Henderson had to weigh no more than 156 pounds and will be given two hours to cut the additional ½ pound or lose part of his fight purse.
