UFC 171 will take place from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET.

The main event of Saturday’s card is a bout for the vacant UFC Welterweight Championship as Johny Hendricks (15-2) battles Robbie Lawler (22-9). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Hendricks is the favorite to win the belt, as he has odds of -400 to win, while Lawler has a money line of +300 to prevail. Lawler hit the scales first and weighed in at 170 pounds while Hendricks was next and came in at 171.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds over the limit. Hendricks was given two hours to make 170 pounds, which he did after about 90 minutes. For a title fight, the two fighters must hit the actual mark and are not given the extra pound like they are for non-title fights. The extra cutting for Hendricks could impact his performance as he could be dried out heading into Saturday's title fight.

The co-main event of Saturday’s card is also a welterweight clash, as Carlos Condit (29-7) faces Tyron Woodley (12-2). Oddsmakers have Condit as the slight favorite, as he has odds of -185 to win, while Woodley has a money line of +150 to prevail. Woodley hit the scales first and weighed in at 170 pounds while Condit came in at 170.5 pounds. The two had a tense stare down, but nothing physical happened. Condit clearly had a height advantage on Woodley, but Woodley clearly looked like the physically stronger fighter. Condit will want to stay on his feet, while Woodley may look to do more grappling and use his strength.
