UFC Fight Night 36 will take place from Arena Jaragua in Santa Catarina, Brazil with the main card bouts airing live on Fox Sports 1 at 10:30PM ET on Saturday. All odds are according to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv.

UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT - Lyoto Machida (20-4) vs. Gegard Mousasi (34-3-2)

This fight features a pair of solid strikers, but I think the Machida has the edge in his speed and his conditioning. Mousasi’s lone loss in recent years was a fight that went five rounds and I think Machida is someone that will be incredibly hard for Mousasi to KO or sub. Machida will use his patient, counter-strike approach and pick apart Mousasi before finishing him off in the later rounds with a TKO. UFC FREE PICK – Lyoto Machida -230

UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUTRonaldo Souza (19-3) vs. Francis Carmont (22-7)

This is another fight featuring two strong middleweights. The key will be where the fight takes place. If the fight is standing, Souza should win. If the fight turns into a grinder and grappling battle against the cage, Carmont should find a way to win. However, Souza has some submission skills on the ground, so that could be a factor as well. In a 15-minute fight, I don’t see Carmont being able to slow down Souza enough to get the win. Look for Souza to land some big strikes and stuff takedowns early to get a decision victory. UFC FREE PICK – Ronaldo Souza -500
