Barao (32-1) didn’t take long to beat Faber (30-7) this time, after going 25 minutes with him in their first meeting. In the middle of the first round, Barao floored Faber with a big punch and followed with a flurry. Faber recovered, but Barao continued to land big shots and ultimately earned the TKO at 3:42. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Barao was the favorite to win this fight, as he had odds of -280 to win, which means a wager of $280 on him to retain his belt will pay out an additional $100.

The co-main event of Saturday’s card saw Jose Aldo (24-1) successfully defend his UFC Featherweight title against Ricardo Lamas (13-3). Aldo won the fight by unanimous decision, earning a score of 49-46 on all four cards. Aldo really dictated the fight with his striking, using a number of powerful leg kicks and body shots to win rounds. The only round that Lamas won was the final one, in which he managed to get a late takedown, but couldn’t find a way to finish the fight. According to oddsmakers, Aldo was the heavy favorite to win, as he had a money line of -650 entering the contest. This means a wager of $650 on him to win will pay out an additional $100.
