McGregor (16-2) is 4-0 in the UFC and is one of the most polarizing new fighters in the UFC. He talks a big game, but has been able to back it up. He has KO’d three of his last four opponents in the first round and has predicted this fight won’t go past two minutes. Siver (22-9) is a UFC veteran that has fought at lightweight and featherweight. He was suspended last year for a failed post-fight drug test, but bounce back with a win in October.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, McGregor is the overwhelming favorite to win this fight, as he is getting odds of -1100 to prevail, while Siver is getting a money line of +650 to win. This fight will be the main event of Sunday’s UFC Fight Night card from the TD Garden in Boston and it will air on Fox Sports 1 at 10PM ET.
Siver is a powerful striker with a very compact upper body. He has powerful kicks and respectable punching power, but he is facing another striker that is likely better than him. McGregor has a very long reach, which Siver lacks, and McGregor is also quicker with his hands and feet. So far, nobody has been able to figure out McGregor’s flaws, if he has any.
