Jimmie Johnson Wins Pole for Ford 400 Print

Nextel Cup points leader Jimmie Johnson will lead the field of the NASCAR Ford 400 to the green flag Sunday. Johnson will be on the pole for the season ending race at Miami with a fast lap of 30.545 at a speed of 176.788mph. The outside pole will be held by Ryan Newman.

Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth and Newman's teammate Kurt Busch round out the top five starting positions. With Johnson now on the pole for Sunday's race he will no doubt become the new favorite to with the Ford 400. Johnson was 5/1 prior to qualifying, he will no doubt be moved to between 2/1 - 4/1 by race time.
