(The Spread) – Following the re-election of President Barack Obama, oddsmakers have installed the Democratic Party as favorites to win the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv currently list the Democratic Party as –130 money line favorites to be the winning party for the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election. The Republican Party is currently –110 on the money line.

Last Tuesday morning, the day of the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election, the Democratic Party was –450 on the money line while the Republican Party was +325. Obama won the popular vote 61,711,576 to 58,508,804 of Mitt Romeny, and the Electoral votes 303 to 206.

Obama will not be eligible for election to a third term due to the Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution. The following names have been mentioned as possible candidates for the Democratic Party: Evan Bayh, Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Julian Castro, and Hillary Clinton (among others).

As former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was not elected in 2012, the possible candidates for the Republican Party in 2016 include Jeb Bush, Sam Brownback, Chris Christie, Mitch Daniels, Sam graves, Nikki Haley, Mike Huckabee, Jon Huntsman Jr. and Michele Bachmann, among others.

The United States presidential election of 2016 will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, which will be the 58th quadrennial presidential election.
