(The Spread) - The Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony is on Sunday, September 23, 2012, and odds makers have released prop odds for the top categories.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv list “Mad Men” the favorite at 2/1 to win the Outstanding Drama Series. “Breaking Bad” has the next best odds at 29/10, “Downton Abbey” is 14/5 and “Homeland” is 23/4. The two long shots are “Boardwalk Empire” at 17/2 and “Game of Thrones” is 9/1.

Who will win the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series? Bryan Cranston of “Breaking Bad” is the favorite at 7/5 while Damian Lewis of “Homeland” is 9/4. Joe Hamm of “Mad Men” is 19/4, Hugh Bonneville of “Downton Abbey” is 8/1 and Steve Buscemi of “Boardwalk Empire” is 17/2. Michael C. Hall of “Dexter” is the long shot at 10/1.

Claire Danes of “Homeland” is a 6/5 favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while Julianna Margulies of “The Good Wife” is 7/2 and Michelle Dockery of “Downton Abbey” and Kathy Bates of “Harry’s Law” are 6/1, respectively. Elisabeth Moss of “Mad Men” is 13/2 and Gleen Close of “Damages” is an 8/1 long shot.

“Modern Family” the favorite at 5/4 to win Outstanding Comedy Series while “The Big Bang Theory” is 4/1. “Girls” and “Veep” are both 11/2, respectively, while “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is 6/1 and “30 Rock” is 8/1. 

Louis C.K. of “Louie” is a 3/2 favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series while Jim Parsons of “The Big Bang Theory” is 12/5 and Don Cheadle of “House of Lies” is 9/2. Alec Baldwin of “30 Rock” is 15/2, Jon Cryer of “Two and a Half Men” is 8/1 and Larry David of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is 17/2.

Finally, Julia Louis-Dreyfus of “Veep” is 2/1 to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series while Amy Poehler of “Parks and Recreation” is 15/4. Zooey Deschanel of “New Girl” is 17/4, Lena Dunham of “Girls” is 6/1 and Tony Fey of “30 Rock” is 15/2. Edie Falco of “Nurse Jackie” and Melissa McCarthy of “Mike and Molly” are 17/2, respectively.
