The Pirates are undefeated in J.A. Happ’s last six starts and will send Happ to the mound in the second game of a double header versus the Cubs tonight at 7:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Pirates are -117 money line favorites versus the Cubs, who have odds of +107 to pull off the upset tonight versus Pittsburgh. With Happ set to face Jon Lester in the pitching matchup, the total currently sits at 7.5 runs.
The Pirates are a perfect 6-0 in Happ’s last six starts and 15-7 in their last 22 games during Game 2 of a series. They’re also 11-4 in their last 15 home games versus a left-handed starter and 4-1 in their last five Game 2 contests of a double header.
On the other side, the Cubs are just 4-10 in the last 14 night caps of a double header and 4-9 in Lester’s last 13 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.
