(The Spread) – Who will throw for the most passing yards in the 2012 NFL regular season? Let’s take a look at the odds.

Drew Brees of the Saints is the current favorite to throw for the most passing yards at 9/2 odds. Tom Brady of the Patriots has the next best odds at 19/4 while Aaron Rodgers of the Packers is 11/2 and Matthew Stafford of the Lions is 13/2. Philip Rivers of the Chargers rounds out the top 5 at 9/1.

Eli Manning of the Giants and Peyton Manning of the Broncos are 12/1 to throw for the most passing yards in 2012, respectively, while Matt Ryan of the Falcons and Tony Romo of the Cowboys are 18/1, respectively. Ben Roethlisberger of the Steelers rounds out the top 10 at 22/1.

2011 phenom Cam Newton of the Panthers, Jay Cutler of the Bears and Matt Schaub of the Texans are all 25/1 to compile the most passing yards in 2012, respectively. Carson Palmer of the Raiders is 30/1, Michael Vick of the Eagles is 35/1 and Joe Flacco of the Ravens is 40/1.

Brees threw for the most yards last season at 5,476 yards, while Brady threw for 5,235 yards. Stafford threw for 5,038 yards, Eli Manning threw for 4,933 yards and Rodgers threw for 4,643 yards. Rivers finished sixth with 4,624 yards.
