SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) – NL West rivals clash tonight in San Francisco as the Giants look to bounce back from their 3-2 loss to the Rockies on Monday night.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are -199 money line home favorites over the Rockies, who are +182 money line road underdogs. The total for this 10:15PM ET start time is sitting at 6.5 runs.
Even though the Giants are at home and a massive favorite tonight, the Rockies remain red-hot versus their division rivals. Following last night’s victory, they’re now 4-0 in their last four games against the Giants and 5-1 in Jorge De La Rosa’s last six starts versus San Francisco. Giants’ ace Madison Bumgarner, meanwhile, is 1-4 in his last five starts versus Colorado.
The Giants are also 1-5 in Bumgarner’s last six home starts versus a team with a losing record, 1-6 in his last seven starts as a home favorite and 1-6 in his last seven home starts with the total set at 6.5 or lower. They’re also 1-6 in his last seven home starts, 0-6 in his last six starts on Tuesday and 2-6 in his last eight starts following a quality start in his last appearance.
The Rockies have struggled this year but they’re 4-1 in their last five games versus a left-handed starter and as the trends indicate above, they’re not afraid to battle the Giants in San Francisco.
