CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) - The Rangers have had plenty of issues versus the Indians of late but they'll try to scratch out a win early this afternoon.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Indians are +107 money line home underdogs versus the visiting Rangers, who are -116 money line favorites. The total for this 1:05PM ET start time is currently sitting at 7 runs.
The Rangers will send ace Yu Darvish to the mound today. He's 10-6 on the year with a 2.90 ERA and has improved to 1-2 in his career versus the Indians after allowing four runs in seven innings on June 6. The Indians, meanwhile, will counter with Trevor Bauer, who is 4-6 with a 4.25 ERA and is 3-2 at home this year with a 3.49 ERA in eight starts.
As previously mentioned, the Rangers are having all kinds of issues with the Indians of late. They're just 1-10 in their last 11 games versus the Tribe and 0-5 in their last five games in Cleveland. To make matters worse, they're 2-9 in their last 11 games versus AL Central opponents, 0-8 in their last eight on Sunday, and 3--13 in their last 16 road games versus a right-handed starter.
On the other side the Indians are 7-1 in their last eight games as a home underdog, 17-8 in their last 25 home games with the total set between 7 and 8.5, and 4-0 in Bauer's last four starts as a home underdog.
