LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The 2014 Canadian Football League season is getting under way and with that, let’s take a look at the win totals for every team.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the B.C. Lions are the current favorites to win the 2014 Grey Cup at 15/4 odds. The Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders have the next-best odds at 4/1, respectively, while the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 7/1 and the Toronto Argonauts are 15/2. The Montreal Alouettes, meanwhile, are 8/1 to win the Grey Cup while the Edmonton Eskimos are 9/1 and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are 12/1. The Ottawa RedBlacks have the longest odds at 18/1.
The Lions and Stampeders have the highest win totals for 2014 at over/under 11, respectively. The Eskimos’ win total is currently sitting at 8.5 while the Tiger-Cats’ win total is 9.5. The team with the next-highest win total is the Roughriders at 10, while the Argonauts currently have an over/under of 9.5 for number of wins.
Continuing with the odds, the Alouettes’ win total is sitting at 9 while the Blue Bombers’ over/under is 6.5 for 2014. Not surprisingly, the RedBlacks have an over/under of six for number of wins in 2014. That’s the lowest total among the nine Canadian Football League teams.
The 2014 CFL regular season kicks off on Thursday when the Blue Bombers host the Argonauts at 7:30PM ET. The Alouettes will also visit the Stampeders on Saturday at 2:00PM ET while the Lions will host the Eskimos. On Sunday, the Tiger-Cats will visit the Roughriders at 6:00PM ET.
