According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Miller is the odds favorite to win this year’s National League Rookie of the Year Award at 1/1. Dodgers’ outfielder Yasiel Puig has the next best odds at 3/2 while his teammate, Hyun-Jim Ryu, is 5/1.
Continuing with the odds, the Marlins’ Marcell Ozuna is 10/1 to win the 2013 NL Rookie of the Year Award, while Padres’ infielder Jedd Gyorko is 20/1 and Atlanta’s Julio Teheran is 25/1.
Miller has the second-best ERA in all of the National League with a mark of 1.91. Puig, meanwhile, has taken Los Angeles by storm after being called up in early June. He’s hitting .471 through his first 34 at bats and has four home runs and 10 RBI. His OBP is currently .500.
Ozuna is hitting .322 with one home run and 17 RBI with the Marlins, while Gyorko is batting .284 with a team-high 8 home runs with 25 RBI. Teheran is also off to a solid start, as he’s struck out 58 batters and is 4-3 with a 3.62 ERA.
