LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – How old and what gender will the winner be of the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee? Here are the odds.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the odds that it’ll be a male that wins this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee are -120. The odds that the winner will be female are also -120, meaning that for every $120.00 that you wager on either a male or female winning the event, you’ll win $100.00.

What will the age of the winner be this year? The odds that the winner will be 12 or under are +150, while the odds for the winner to be 13 or over are -200. That means for every $100.00 you wager on the 12 or under bet, you’ll win $150.00 if you win your wager. Conversely, you’ll win $100.00 if you bet on 13 or over, but you’ll have to wager $200.00.

What will the school type be of the winner, a public school member or any other? The odds for a public school winner are -200 while the odds that it’ll be from any other source are +150. The over/under for number of letters in the winning word at this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee is 9.

Bee Week 2014 will take place May 25 through May 30, 2014. The actual Scripps National Spelling Bee will occur May 28-29 at the Gaylord National in Oxon Hill, Maryland and will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
