(The Spread) - Oddsmakers have released the latest 2013 NBA Championship odds, where the Miami Heat remain favored.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Heat are 1/3 favorites to win this year's NBA championship while the Spurs have the next best odds at 11/2. The Grizzlies are 6/1 and the Pacers have the longest odds at 16/1 as they've drawn Miami for their Eastern Conference Finals matchup.
Thus far the Heat have breezed through the postseason. They swept the Bucks in four games and after a rusty performance that led to a loss in Game 1 of their second round matchup with the Bulls, Miami took care of Chicago in five games.
The Spurs, meanwhile, swept the Lakers in four games before having to battle in a six-game slugfest with the Warriors. They won Game 1 in overtime but the Warriors took Game 2 in San Antonio, 100-91. The Spurs then won Game 3 in Golden State before losing in overtime in Game 4. After returning back home, the Spurs won Game 5 109-91 before closing out the Warriors in Golden State 94-82 in Game 6.
The Grizzlies took a somewhat different path to the Western Conference Finals. They lost both Game 1 and Game 2 in Los Angeles in the first round before winning four straight games to take their first round series with the Clippers. They also lost Game 1 to the Thunder but with Russell Westbrook out for OKC, the Grizzlies were able to finish off Kevin Durant and Co. in five games.
The Pacers, meanwhile, had to battle in both of their opening round series against the Hawks and Knicks. They won the first two games versus Atlanta at hom before dropping the next two on the road. They won Games 5 and 6, however, to finish off Atlanta before heading to New York to take on the Knicks. After splitting the first two games with the Knicks and dropping Game 5, the Pacers eventually beat New York in six games to advance.
