Virginia has won five Division I Lacrosse Championships since 1971, including the most recent title in 2011. Duke won the 2010 championship, which was the Blue Devils’ first Division I title, while Syracuse has won 11 titles, including back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2008.

You’d have to go all the back to 1975 to find the last time Maryland has won a Division I Lacrosse Championship. The Terps also won in 1973. If Loyola Maryland wins this year, it would be its first championship in the history of the tournament.
