American Idol Season 11 Updated Odds to Win – Phillips Now Favored Print

(The Spread) – With only five contestants remaining, Phillip Phillips is now favored to win American Idol Season 11.

According to oddsmakers, Phillips is currently favored at 4/5 to win this season’s American Idol, while Jessica Sanchez has the next best odds at 5/2. Joshua Ledet is 5/1 to win, Skylar Laine is 7/1 to win and Hollie Cavanagh is a heavy long shot at 40/1.

Just two weeks ago Colton Dixon was an 8/5 favorite but he was eliminated that very same week. Elise Testone was the latest to be eliminated after her and Cavanagh were 30/1 long shots two weeks ago. Phillips was 5/2 two weeks ago, while Sanchez was 3/1 and Ledet and Laine were both 10/1, respectively.

Cavanagh has been in the “Bottom 3” four times since the show first aired, while Laine has reached the “Bottom 3” twice. Ledet has been there twice and Phillips has never reached the “Bottom 3.” Sanchez was “Saved” on April 12.

There are only four weeks remaining in Season 11 of American Idol, which continues Thursday, May 3.
