CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) – Have the Browns already moved on from quarterback Johnny Manziel following just one season?
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the Browns have mostly “moved” on from Manziel after the troubled quarterback checked himself into rehab roughly a month ago.
“When they were putting together half of a new offensive staff, Manziel’s name barely even came up in conversation,” Mortensen said.
The Browns signed veteran signal-caller Josh McCown in free agency and will seemingly ride him in the 2015 season, assuming that they don’t move up for either Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota in this month’s draft. The Browns were also reportedly interested in acquiring Sam Bradford from the Rams before St. Louis traded him to Philadelphia for Nick Foles and draft pick compensation.
