CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) – Browns’ quarterback Johnny Manziel is expected to participate in the team’s offseason workouts next month.
A source tells ESPN that Cleveland expects its 22-year-old quarterback to participate in the offseason workouts that begin on April 20. Manziel checked himself into a rehab facility on January 28 and is expected to be released in early April.
Manziel will be going head-to-head with Josh McCown, whom the Browns signed to a free agent deal in February. Considering the Browns have a new offensive coordinator in John DeFilippo, both players will be on equal footing when it comes to learning the playbook but McCown is likely the favorite to win the starting job for 2015.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Browns are 75/1 long shots to win the 2016 Super Bowl.
