(The Spread) – The odds are out for the 2012-13 Associated Press Player of the Year and one of the Big Ten’s finest performers this season is favored to win the award.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Michigan’s Trey Burke is 1/1 to win this year’s Associated Press Player of the Year. Indiana’s Victor Oladipo has the next best odds at 9/4, while Georgetown’s Otto Porter is 4/1.
Continuing with the odds, Creighton’s Doug McDermott and Duke’s Mason Plumlee are 12/1, respectively, while Indiana’s Cody Zeller and Gonzaga’s Kelly Olynyk are 16/1, respectively. Kansas’ Ben McLemore, Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart and Miami’s Shane Larkin are all 30/1, respectively.
Burke has averaged 19.1 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game and 6.9 assists per game. Meanwhile, Oladipo has averaged 13.7 points per contest, 6.0 rebounds per game and 2.1 assists per contest. Otto has averaged 16.6 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per contest and 2.6 assists per game.
