Also, Cubs center fielder Reed Johnson popped out, singled and was hit by a pitch for Peoria. Johnson is battling back spasms but will likely play with Ramirez this weekend in Peoria before rejoining the Cubs in Chicago for Monday's series opener against the Atlanta Braves. Both players said they felt fine and on target for that return date after their five-inning stints. |
